My History

I was born in Lubbock, but I was raised in the small town of  Dumas, Texas. Lubbock has basically been my second home growing up. Throughout my childhood, I would be in Lubbock six to eight weekends in the fall semester. Both of my parents are Texas Tech alum, so I was raised on the high powered Red Raider offense.

During most I of my childhood I grew up as the middle child. I have an older brother and a younger brother.  We loved to wrestle and fight and play games together. When I was in about to be in junior high, our family decided to adopt. We adopted my little sister, Kami, who was two when we got her.

I was involved in everything you can imagine in high school. I played baseball and basketball, I was the president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, I was a member of student council, I was in choir and show choir and I had lead roles in the high school musicals. I’ve always liked to stay busy because I can get bored really easy.

When I set my mind on something, I pursue it passionately. I have always wanted to work for ESPN and I am still pursuing that ambition. Throughout college I’ve been told how hard that will be and that I can’t do it, but I love to prove people wrong.
