My History-From then, to now

I was born and grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio.  When I was eleven, I moved to Indiana, just outside of Cincinnati.  I very much missed the city life and knew I would not stay in Indiana for long.
When I was a senior in high school and was deciding where to go for college, I did not want to stay close to home.  I did not think I could reach my dream of traveling and expanding out of Indiana, if I did not expand my horizons early.
I am 20 hours away from home, and have never once regretted it.
After switching my major from architecture to journalism, I have felt much closer to reaching my goals.  I want to travel around the world and learn as much as I can about other cultures, and along the way, help tell the stories of natives that do not know how or have the resources to tell their story, themselves.  While architecture would allow me to travel around and study culture to some extent, journalism allow me to connect with the native people of the different countries, and allows me the satisfaction of helping to tell their stories.

A trip to New Mexico with my puppy, Solomon, just before the start of classes.

That’s a beautiful picture of New Mexico. I hope you are able to travel to more exotic places as your career kicks off like you hope.

I never would have thought of using journalistic talents for that purpose! It sounds very exciting and interesting though! I wish you all the luck with your dreams!
